George Floyd was murdered brutally by Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis police officer on May 25, 2020. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck, continuing to do so even after Floyd lost consciousness, resulting in his death.
Chauvin is being charged with second degree manslaughter and third degree murder. His bail has been set at 500K. Despite being charged with murder, his bail is set at only 500K. Chauvin has also had a history of violence in his career - he had 18 previous complaints against him and he has been involved in 3 police shootings, one of which was fatal.
We urge the US government not to let such behaviour slide and let Floyd get the justice he deserves. We demand bail be removed for Derek Chauvin - a MURDERER should not be allowed to get out on bail. Chauvin deserves to be punished.
